The Cloud Architect will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing scalable, highly available, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions within the Cloud Center of Excellence (CCOE). The ideal candidate will lead cloud architecture efforts, working closely with internal application teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards and best practices.Key Responsibilities:
Define and maintain the overall cloud technical architecture in alignment with business objectives.
Collaborate with application and business teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Establish and enforce architecture governance and compliance with enterprise standards.
Lead discussions on architectural best practices, risk mitigation, and trade-offs with senior leadership to inform strategic decisions.
Drive cloud infrastructure strategy, including the adoption of advanced cloud services such as Serverless (AWS Lambda, Fargate), Containers (ECS, EKS), and managed databases.
Create and maintain architecture and solution design documents in alignment with AWS best practices.
Lead technical presales activities alongside sales teams, engaging with customers to understand their challenges and propose cloud solutions that deliver business value.
Support migration and modernization initiatives within the cloud adoption roadmap.
Ensure scalability, resiliency, and security of cloud solutions and architectures.
Mentor and guide junior architects and engineers within the Cloud Foundation Team.Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 8 years experience in cloud architecture and infrastructure, particularly with AWS, GCP and Azure.
Hands-on experience delivering migration projects, including lift-and-shift and modernization initiatives, including data warehouse and AI workloads using AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, Fargate, RDS, DynamoDB, CloudFormation, SageMaker, API Gateway, Bedrock, and Terraform.
Proven experience in microservices architecture, containerization, and APIs.
Strong understanding of cloud networking, storage, computing, security, and virtualization technologies.
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Demonstrated leadership in architectural decision-making and the ability to drive cloud adoption across organizational teams.
Certification Requirements:
Must possess AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional certification.
Desirable Skills:
Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD methodologies.
Familiarity with security standards and compliance frameworks like PCI DSS, ISO 27001, ITIL , GDPR and HIPAA.
Experience in financial management of cloud resources, including cost optimization strategies.
This role requires strategic vision, technical excellence, and the ability to effectively collaborate across multiple organizational units to achieve business objectives through cloud technologies.
