Role purposeTo ensure smooth working of day-to-day HR Operations including HRIS, employee database, personnel files, employee records and monthly staff payroll by maintaining relevant records.Main opportunities/challenges for this roleManaging across a portfolio of products when the team has been used to managing by productManaging a combination of regular activity (IELTS) and huge peaks and troughs (Schools)Making team available to support additional Exams activities to support operational necessity / emergencyMain accountabilitiesHR OperationsEnsure information in MyHR (Global HRIS) is accurate and updated regularly and maintain annual dashboard.Ensure deployment of MyHR and provide required support to team and staff on all tasks related to MyHR.Ensure on-time processing of employee requisitions including letter issuance, final settlements etc.Support/lead in recruitment activities where required.Handle non-permanent workers (NPW) recruitment, contracts, invoices and payments; liaise with third party agencies in coordination with procurement and finance teams.Assist staff in understanding of the relevant HR policies and procedures and knowledge of where to obtain guidance on them.Responsible for HR Audit Internal, Information Management, Recruitment, Child Protection or other such activities emerging time to time.Prepare all HR related letters and contracts nationally and responsible for ensuring that the HR letter register is up to date.Monthly staff payroll Under the guidance of Senior HR Adviser, ensure.Master data in payroll software is updated on monthly basis.All Payment/deductions such as overtime, arrears, TPA, PF, Bonus, Pay Award etc. is accurately accounted for.Prepare monthly reconciliation and various reports for respective stake holders.Handling payroll related queriesAssist in manpower & staff cost planning for future years.Group Life and Health InsuranceEnsure timely payment to the Insurance partners and liaise with them for any policy related mattersAssist employees in claim process where requiredOTHER IMPORTANT FEATURES OR REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOBSupport HR team in other cities (as & when required)SafeguardingThe post holder will understand the importance of safeguarding and ensure that safe recruitment processes are consistently applied and non-compliance with safe recruitment standards are flagged to National Safeguarding Manager and/or Director HR.Manage the disciplinary process related to safeguarding concerns.InternalClose working relationship with Finance and procurement teamAll staff including programmes, operational and project teams dailyExternalThird party agenciesGroup Health Insurance partnerExecutive development centre/placement services of premier colleges and universities for sourcing candidates for temporary or permanent positions in British Council.Requirements:
Fluent in English and Local Language
MBA in HR (Desirable)
Two-year experience of HR operations and/or payroll
Excellent Ms. Excel skills
Ability to operate different computer softwares specially Ms. Excel.
Working knowledge of HR policies and procedures relating to the management of staffNote : This is a contractual position of 4-6 months
