- Develop and monitor weekly and monthly plans for the District Nutrition Officers related to IPC sensitization visits with HCPs and FHWs
- Lead the development of awareness events plan (conferences, seminars, meetings and trainings) in consultation with NI, District Health Department and Professional Medical Associations.
- Manage an updated database of public and private HCPs and FHWs in their target area
- Supervise IPC sensitization visits carried out by DNOs, and conduct IPC visits where and when assigned by the management and or trouble shooting visits
- Conduct CME trainings for HCPs, FHWs trainings, sensitization seminars, conferences, international days, special talks in events related to maternal nutrition
- Coordinate with assigned master trainers for CME training sessions at the target districts. Ensure full participation in the trainings, quality assurance, gathering evaluation and reporting.
- Maintain database of the trained HCPs and FHWs.
- Supervise knowledge tools and clinic branding at the health facilities, clinics and health houses.
- Mobilize and motivate HCPs and FHWs for integrating maternal nutrition services in their regular service delivery where required.
- Lead and oversee the implementation of innovative marketing skills to promote maternal nutrition concepts to healthcare providers and frontline health workers.
- Ensure engagement of HCPs, FHWs and Key Opinion leaders in the campaign activities
- Establish a real time feedback mechanism from HCPs & FHWs to the project management regarding campaign activities
- Identify Maternal Nutrition Champions among HCPs and FHWs, potential contenders for leader award
- Lead the development and submission of project updates for program management team as per agreed upon frequency
- Ensure the collection and submission of daily report
- Lead the development of event reports.
- Take lead on the development of success stories, case studies and knowledge generation at the targeted districts.
- Submit monthly progress report to PEOPLE for further sharing with Nutrition International and other relevant stakeholders.
- Provide periodic data for the monitoring and reporting purposes to the NI team as and when required.
- Lead in conducting field monitoring, data collection and any relevant tasks necessary to support monitoring and reporting activities.
- Masters Degree in nutrition, food science/technology, public health or any other relevant qualifications.
- At least 7 years of experience with nutrition/health or development programs in a coordination/management role,
- Preferred skills such as project management, training and development, counselling, advocacy for health and nutrition, event management, media management, service marketing and development communications for a national or international organization.
- Knowledge of government healthcare systems and policies.
- Exceptional written and verbal communications skills along with influential presentation, detailing and marketing skills.
- Experience in healthcare mapping, capacity building, maternal nutrition advocacy, and non-product marketing.
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is a prerequisite. Knowledge of other languages spoken in field areas would be an asset
- Self-initiator, ability to work under minimal supervision and under pressure
- Competent IT skills, i.e. MS Word, MS Excel, Kobo toolbox, Outlook and Power Point
