- Configure, maintain, and manage firewall hardware and software to ensure network security.
- Implement and maintain network security measures to protect against unauthorized access, malware, and other security threats.
- Implement necessary rule changes, updates, and upgrades.
- Monitor network traffic for suspicious activities and potential threats.
- Optimize and maintain firewall security policies and procedures, adhering to industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Provide high-level troubleshooting support for firewall-related issues, including connectivity problems, performance tuning and security breaches.
- Ensure that agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are being met.
- Work with vendor support engineers on escalation and ticket resolution along with root cause analysis (RCA).
- Work closely with customer to ensure a secure network environment, providing expert advice on network security issues. Keep customer updated with network security status and on-going issues.
- Ensure network documentation is kept up to date including LLD, HLD, network topology, configurations, and inventory.
- Identify discrepancies and suggest solutions to customers to improve network security and performance.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in managing IP Networks.
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in Fortinet next generation firewalls (NGFWs).
- Web application firewalls (WAF) and network detection & response (NDR) expertise is an advantage.
- The candidate must be familiar with Firewall concepts and technologies.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts including routing & switching, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing protocols.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze and resolve complex network issues.
- Solid understanding of network security principles and best practices.
- Fortinet certification (NSE 3, NSE 4, FCA).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
