Reports to: Tax Manager / Partner
Experience Required: Minimum 1 1.5 years in tax compliance & advisory (CA firm or corporate tax department)
Duration / Commitment: Minimum 2 years
Qualification: CA Inter, ACCA (part-qualified/affiliate), ICMA (part-qualified), or Graduate/Masters in Accounting, Finance, or Economics

Salary: Market competitive, commensurate with experiencePosition OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Associate Tax to join our Tax Department. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge and practical experience in Income Tax, Sales Tax, FBR compliance, PRA filings, and SECP regulatory requirements. The role involves managing tax compliance assignments, preparing statutory filings, assisting in client advisory, and ensuring all deadlines are met with accuracy and professionalism.Key ResponsibilitiesPreparation and filing of Income Tax Returns (individuals, AOPs, companies)Drafting and filing Wealth Statements and reconciliationsManaging tax notices, audits, and responding to FBR queriesPreparing withholding tax statements (monthly/annual) and ensuring compliance with Income Tax Ordinance, 2001Preparing and e-filing monthly Sales Tax Returns for FBR and PRAHandling input/output tax reconciliations and adjustmentsManaging sales tax registration and de-registration processesAdvising clients on sales tax implications and procedural complianceFiling annual and periodic returns through SECP e-servicesPreparing statutory forms (company incorporation, change in directors, share capital changes)Maintaining compliance with Companies Act, 2017 and related regulationsLiaising with clients for gathering documentation and clarifying queriesAdvising clients on tax planning within legal frameworksCoordinating with government authorities to resolve compliance mattersSupervising junior associates in routine tax workEnsuring timely completion of assignments and maintaining compliance calendarsAssisting in developing internal checklists, SOPs, and training materialsRequired Skills & CompetenciesTechnical KnowledgeStrong understanding of Income Tax Ordinance, 2001, Sales Tax Act, 1990, Punjab Sales Tax on Services Act, 2012, and Companies Act, 2017Familiarity with tax and regulatory portals (IRIS, PRA, SECP e-services)Working knowledge of relevant SROs, circulars, and tax case lawProfessional SkillsExcellent drafting, analytical, and problem-solving skillsStrong attention to detail and accuracy in filingsGood command over MS Excel, Word, and accounting/tax softwareInterpersonal SkillsEffective written and verbal communication skillsAbility to handle multiple assignments and meet tight deadlinesClient-focused approach with a proactive attitude
