Qualification:Bachelor Degree in Environmental sciences/ Climate change or related fieldClimate Change ExpertJob ResponsibilitiesConduct climate risk and vulnerability assessments for infrastructure and development projects.Develop and implement climate change adaptation and mitigation strategies.Ensure project compliance with national climate policies, NDCs (Nationally Determined Contributions), and international frameworks (UNFCCC, IPCC guidelines, SDGs).Prepare and review Climate Change Impact Assessments (CCIA) and integrate findings into project planning.Provide technical guidance on low-carbon, energy-efficient, and sustainable construction practices.Coordinate with government agencies, donors, and stakeholders on climate-related initiatives.Support the integration of renewable energy and green building concepts in project design.Monitor greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, carbon footprint, and recommend reduction measures.Prepare climate-related reports, proposals, and policy briefs for management and clients.Conduct capacity-building and awareness programs for staff and partners on climate resilience.Relevant ExperienceMinimum 5–8 years of experience in climate change, environmental management, or sustainability projects.Proven track record in climate risk assessments, adaptation planning, and mitigation strategies.Experience working with international donors, NGOs, or government bodies on climate-related programs.Knowledge of GHG inventories, carbon markets, renewable energy integration, and sustainable development practices.Hands-on experience in preparing climate impact reports, EIAs/IEEs with climate components, and policy recommendations.Familiarity with climate models, GIS tools, and analytical software for climate risk analysis.Strong understanding of national climate change policies and international agreements (Paris Agreement, COP commitments, etc.).Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and lead climate-focused initiatives within construction and infrastructure sectors.
