AMI is hiring Operating Theatre Nurses to support United Nations mission in Somalia.
Deliver professional health services including provision of Surgical Services which adhere to the facilities' policies and procedures
Available twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days a week, primarily but not exclusively for Surgical Services primarily as a scrub and circulating nurse but also to provide additional support to anesthetic and post-operative care services
Ensure operational readiness of theatre services, equipment, instruments and personal equipment
Sterilize and maintain surgical equipment and stores in accordance with the facility standards
Maintain the Operating Theatre Register
Orient other nurses with the layout of the Operating Theatre and provide guidance on the duties of a Theatre Scout Nurse, should the Operating Theatre be activated in an emergency
Diploma of Nursing, or equivalent
Minimum 3 years’ experience as an Operating Theatre Nurse
Current unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse within Home Country
Postgraduate qualification in Operating Theatre Nursing
Evidence of current Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), with evidence of a practical component
Demonstrate sufficient recent clinical experience in the last 12 months commensurate with the role
A valid home country license must be maintained at all times
Fluency in English
