- Lead and mentor a team of Supplier Aquisition specialists, providing guidance, training, and support.
- Set clear performance expectations and goals for the team, and regularly review and provide feedback to ensure success.
- Develop and implement strategies for identifying potential suppliers, both domestically and internationally.
- Utilize various research methods, databases, and market analysis to identify qualified suppliers.
- Lead the team in conducting due diligence on potential suppliers, assessing their capabilities, financial stability, quality standards, and ethical practices.
- Oversee the supplier onboarding process, ensuring smooth integration and alignment with company requirements.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to facilitate supplier contracts and agreements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential suppliers.
- Work closely with suppliers to negotiate terms, resolve issues, and ensure continuous improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in supplier research and procurement in a leadership role.
- Proven success in identifying international suppliers.
