Role overviewThe PK Operations Manager will be responsible for improving the day-to-day activities and output of the team. The primary goal is to ensure efficient operations, enhance productivity, and contribute to the achievement of the company’s strategic objectives. He or she will be a key player in coordinating, managing resources, and implementing effective processes to drive productivity improvements for the team leading to higher returns for TGS Prediktor’s various projects.He/she will take part in resource planning, both short and long-term, and ensure the overall well-being of the team members, including their performance. He/she will be the main contact point in operational matters with the employees in PK, Sperton, and TGS Prediktor management in Norway. The ideal candidate is a natural leader who can identify and solve problems and motivate the team to deliver excellent performance. Having proven to deliver growth for multinational companies.Responsibilities and tasks:Strategic Planning:

In cooperation with the current team in Karachi and the TGS Prediktor management, develop a strategic plan to grow the team, increase team productivity and output, and economic return on TGS Prediktor various projects.
Develop an office budget for the PK office in collaboration with TGS Prediktor and introduce cost-saving measures without compromising on quality.
Establish a team-based incentive scheme for the PK Office to increase team performance/output.

Leading & Developing the PK Team:

Responsible for the team’s performance and assignments in projects and client support.
Monitor the team’s workload consistently to ensure optimal utilization and enhanced productivity. Anyone who has too little or too many tasks should be reported to TGS Prediktor.
Contribute resource assignment plans in collaboration with TGS Prediktor.
Ensure smooth operations of the 24/7 customer support service including managing the roster, ensuring seamless shift handovers, and approving the reported hours at the end of the month.
Lead the performance management cycle of the team including periodic performance reviews; development plans for each and setting the yearly salary increment with confirmation from TGS Prediktor.
Contribute in recruitment of new employees, including shortlisting and interviewing candidates provided by Sperton. Involvement and confirmation from TGS Prediktor before signing anyone.
Coordinate with Sperton for the onboarding of new employees.
Responsible for overall team spirit and wellbeing of the team and report to Sperton and TGS Prediktor in case of issues.

Operational Procedure Optimization:

Escalate important operational matters from the team to TGS Prediktor and/or Sperton Pakistan.
Monitor office equipment and office facilities status and report to Sperton and TGS Prediktor if needed.
Ensure that the employee policies are up-to-date and that employees follow the regulations and procedures laid out in them.
Manage the requested leaves of the team while ensuring that productivity is not affected.
Ensure that employees are in the office as required, and promptly report any deviations to both Sperton and TGS Prediktor. Know about team members’ absences and inform TGS Prediktor and the rest of the PK team.
Oversee travel requirements of the team and work with Sperton to ensure timely and smooth document submission.

Requirements:

10-15 years of relevant experience leading and managing a large team.
Minimum master’s degree within areas as automation, cybernetics, IT, electronics or electrical engineering from a reputable institute. A degree in Business Administration/Operations Management would be a plus.
Should have experience working with Western/European companies.
Proven experience in increasing revenue and profitability by enhancing operations and performance of a business unit.
Working knowledge of Industry 4.0, IIOT, industrial digitalization.
Domain experience within energy production (solar, wind, hydro, hybrid) and/or other industries such as O&G and manufacturing.
Knowledge of industrial protocols and communication standards (OPC, Modbus, Ethernet/IP, etc.)
Should be well-versed with Databases (SQL, database management, database design)
