Lead Group Taxation and Finance

• Oversee all aspects of tax compliance for foodpanda entities in Pakistan, ensuring strict adherence to regulatory requirements and timely response to tax notices, while facilitating seamless communication with tax consultants.
• Collaborate closely with the Group Tax Manager to conduct in-depth analysis of financial data, pinpointing opportunities for tax optimization and bolstering profitability strategies.
• Provide expert counsel on the tax implications of international transactions, harnessing available tax treaty benefits to maximize savings and mitigate risks effectively.
• Address tax-related inquiries promptly and maintain open lines of communication with tax authorities, ensuring transparency and compliance at all times.
• Manage tax provisions, reconciliations, and reporting processes meticulously to uphold the accuracy and integrity of financial records, facilitating smooth audits and regulatory assessments.
• Spearhead digitalization initiatives within the tax department, leveraging technology to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency.
• Take a lead role in the preparation and audit of statutory accounts and Provident Fund accounts, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and meticulous attention to detail.
• Mentor and support a team of tax professionals, providing guidance and fostering their professional growth and development to drive excellence within the team.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CA, ACCA, ICMA, or equivalent qualification preferred).
• Minimum 5 years in corporate tax accounting and reporting roles, with prior experience of more than 3 years in the Big 4 accounting firms & multinational company would be preferred.
• Proven track record in tax return preparation, audit support, and regulatory compliance
• Proficiency in transfer pricing methodologies and double taxation treaties
• Analytical skills for accurate financial reporting and tax filings
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities for effective collaboration
• Proficiency in MS Office and SAP systems
