Description :Essential Job Responsibilities
  • Review SRs financial reports for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with donor and organizational requirements.
  • Track subaward disbursements, advances, and liquidations, ensuring timely reconciliation.
  • Assist in monitoring budget utilization and flagging variances for management review.
  • Assist SR in preparing the monthly cash forecast for the grant.
  • Maintain proper filing (hard & soft) of partner financial reports, contracts, and compliance documents.
  • Assist in preparing grants related reporting to the donor as well as management reports including but not limited to Budget Vs. Actuals, PR Cash Information, and any other report required by management.
  • Assist Finance Coordinator Subaward Compliance in conducting regular spot checks and field visits to partner organizations.
  • Prepare financial monitoring visits reports using the prescribed MC template, incorporating all findings for MC internal reviews and approval and issue reports to SRs along with management letter accordingly.
  • Follow up with SRs to ensure timely implementation of recommendations noted for corrective actions and improvements. Ensure timely recovery of disallowed cost (if any) as result of compliance review.
  • Support capacity-building initiatives for partner finance staff.
  • Prepare vouchers, journal entries, and payment requests related to SRs in line with approved budget and contracts.
  • Assist line manager in the partner due diligence and selection process, following MC Subaward Management policy guidelines.
  • Ensure timely entry of partner related transactions into the Microsoft Dynamics (Navigator) accounting system.
  • Initiate the process for new subaward agreements and modifications in line with MC Subaward financial management policy.
  • Assist in compiling SRs expenditure reports for donor financial reports.
  • Support the Finance team in preparing consolidated subaward trackers and variance analysis.
  • Assist in preparing documentation for donors and external audits related to subawards.
  • Support corrective action follow-up for audit findings relating to partners.
  • Assist Finance Coordinator Subaward Compliance reviewing partner financial reports and supporting documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with donor and organizational policies.
  • Any other duty assigned by the supervisor.

  • Minimum Bachelors/ Part ACCA/Part ICMA or equivalent in accounting or finance required.
  • Atleast 2 years of subaward compliance and partner financial management, bookkeeping, banking or cashiering experience.
  • Strong knowledge financial review, preparation of partner reports, due diligence, donor financial reporting, journal entries.
  • Strong computer skills in MS Office programs, particularly Excel.
  • Accuracy in the processing of cash transactions, mathematical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Maintain partner correspondence files
  • Excellent oral and written English skills.
