Over a period of 30 years, the Aga Khan University has garnered global acclaim for excellence in teaching, learning and research. In response to the needs for research, in 2011 the University opened the Clinical Trials Unit a state-of-the-art facility. Clinical trials form the cornerstone of human research but in Pakistan despite the vast potential they are in their nascence. The Unit has since made its presence felt with its Good Clinical Practice-compliant standards and its spectrum of services.Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for:
Monitoring research participants to ensure adherence to study rules
Screening patients, obtaining informed consent, confirming inclusion/exclusion criteria
Performing physical examination, obtaining medical history and complete CFRs/Queries
Follow-up SAE reporting, perform IP accountability, IP instruction and compliance assessment
Materials and documents maintenance, electronic data entry, medical assessment and treatment
Review patient diary, medication list, measure vital signs and perform ECG
Assist PI in submitting reports i.e., adverse event, progress report etc.
Documenting and reporting any breach in compliance.
Interacting with specialists regarding patients and participating in subject recruitment.
Escorting patients to the outpatient clinics for their consultationRequirements:
You should have:
License in MBBS/ PMC
Preferably research experience of 6-12 months
Ability to multi task several projects
Excellent team player
Basic research and good interpersonal skills, particularly communication skills
Good command over the use of computer applications, particularly MS Office
Resilience and ability to cope-up with work pressure and meet stringent timeline
