The Department of Statistics at the Forman Christian College (A Chartered University) Lahore is seeking applications for full time lecturer position for teaching at baccalaureate (Honors Program) level. Faculty member will be required to teach the relevant courses as well as take part in departmental activities/tasks, or fulfill responsibilities assigned by the Department Chair or University.Required Qualification and Expectations:
MPhil degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, or related disciplines, an ideal candidate should have a working knowledge of R and Python programming. We seek an applicant with a demonstrated interest in statistical methods and their application in the context of data science, artificial intelligence, and Big data.
Command and experience in teaching to Baccalaureate levels, using a variety of teaching-learning methodologies, Preference will be given to candidates who wish to focus their careers on the development and practicing of innovative teaching strategies and novel pedagogic technologies.
Willingness to contribute towards community service, university/departmental activities, and share research experiences with students
Support of the mission of the University
Command over the areas of expertise with ability to teach at graduate level using a variety of teaching and learning methodologies
Candidates must have demonstrable research experience in their field
A proven track-record of research productivity.
Commitment to support the mission of the University.
High level of spoken and written English proficiency.
Ability to maintain collegiality and professionalism.
