Description :PROGRAM/DEPARTMENT SUMMARY:Tuberculosis (TB) persists as a major public health problem worldwide, including Pakistan. The country ranks 5th among the 30 high TB burden countries. Each year more than half a million people develop TB in the country with more than one third remain undiagnosed/un-notified to the National TB Control Program (NTP).Mercy Corps has been the principal recipient of Global Funds Grants for TB Control activities in the private sector since 2007. Currently, through the New Funding Model (NFM) III Grant (2021 to 2023) Mercy Corps is managing Public Private Mix (PPM) in 91 districts of Pakistan including 36 of the Punjab. Interventions include engagement of private doctors/ hospitals and Labs; Enhanced Case Finding in selected private hospitals; Sputum Transportation; and Active Case Finding through x ray screening camps. The Grant is being implemented in Pakistan through the following sub-recipients:Association for Community Development (ACD)Association for Social Development (ASD)Bridge Consultants Foundation (BCF)Marie Adelaide Leprosy Center (MALC)Participatory Strengthening Organization (SPO)Green Star social Marketing (GSSM)ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Responsible to maintain coordination and communication with the field teams for operational/logistic support
  • Responsible for timely collection, compilation and maintaining chronological record of the PPM data, minutes of meetings, financial and programmatic record from the field teams of project districts.
  • Responsible for assisting the supervisor in field supervision and monitoring of PPM activities and maintaining log of monitoring visits and reports.
  • Coordinate with Sr.HR Officer for staff work agreements, monthly staff time sheets and log sheets.
  • Responsible for liquidation of monthly advances issued for various activities to concerned field/districts teams.
  • Responsible for preparing monthly expense reports in coordination with the field teams for onward submission to the finance officer in consultation with the project Manager.
  • Responsible for maintaining programmatic data of all project activities in consultation with the team.
  • Conduct him/herself professionally and personally in such a manner so as to bring credit to Mercy Corps and in no way jeopardize its humanitarian efforts.
  • Adhere at all times with Mercy Corps policies and procedures including security and safety protocols and SOPs.
  • Any other task or responsibility as assigned by the Regional Coordinator.

  • Actively learns about safeguarding and integrates it into their work, including safeguarding risks and mitigations related to their area of work
  • Practices the values of Mercy Corps including respecting the dignity and well-being of participants and fellow team members
  • Encourages openness and communication in their team; encourages team members to submit reports if they have any concerns using reporting mechanisms e.g., Integrity Hotline and other options.

ACCOUNTABILITYReports Directly: Regional CoordinatorWorks Directly With: Field teams, Operations, HR, and Finance Departments.KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:B.Com/B.A with social sciences. At least two years’ relevant admin and finance experience, preferably in the social or development sectors. Excellent time management skills and knowledge about financial matters and procurement procedures will be an asset. Excellent computer skills, particularly in MS Office. Excellent communication skills.
