In this role, you'll oversee US federal, state, and local tax compliance and planning, review complex returns, and advise on tax strategy. You'll also mentor tax staff, support audits, and drive improvements in tax processes. This position is ideal for someone with strong US tax expertise and leadership skills.Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax returns (corporate, partnership, individual, and/or trust returns).
  • Oversee complex tax compliance and reporting requirements, including ASC 740 (if applicable).
  • Develop and execute tax planning strategies to optimize tax efficiency and mitigate risks.
  • Monitor and interpret changes in tax laws and regulations; communicate their impact to clients or leadership.
  • Represent the company or clients in tax audits and regulatory examinations; manage responses to notices and inquiries.
  • Provide guidance on mergers, acquisitions, entity structuring, and other strategic transactions.
  • Supervise, mentor, and train tax staff and managers; foster a culture of professional growth and continuous learning.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including legal, finance, and external advisors.
  • Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of tax processes and systems.
What We're Looking For:
  • Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's in Taxation and/or CPA/EA certification preferred).
  • Strong experience with US federal, state, and local tax compliance and planning.
  • Proven background in reviewing corporate, partnership, individual, and/or trust tax returns.
  • Solid understanding of US tax law and reporting standards (ASC 740 is a plus).
  • Prior experience managing or mentoring tax teams.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and client-facing skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities
Work Timings:This is a Full-time role with US Hours' Shift. Specific hours will be determined based on business needs.Compensation & Benefits:
  • Salary: PKR 300,000 – 400,000 per month, depending on experience.
  • Allowances: Internet, Electricity, and Wellbeing.
  • Performance-based bonuses.
