- Customer Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong business relationships with modern trade customers, including hypermarkets and supermarkets and distributors servicing these customers
- Business Planning & Execution:
- Work with the Modern Trade Manager to develop and execute a joint customer business plan.
- Implement and execute promotional and category-specific plans with clear objectives to drive sales in modern retail formats.
- Lead and execute in-store efficiency KPIs, including off-shelf displays, planograms, and on-shelf availability.
- Manage and allocate customer investments and promotional budgets to maximize return on investment (ROI).
- Sales & Operations:
- Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the success of modern trade strategies.
- Ensure the achievement of sales targets and volume delivery for the assigned key accounts.
- Monitor competitor activity in-store and develop mitigation plans.
- Utilize data-driven strategies to enhance sales processes and drive revenue growth.
- Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead and supervise the in-store operations and merchandising team to ensure the effective execution of strategies.
- Support the training and development of team members, fostering a positive work environment.
- Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a customer development or sales role, preferably within the FMCG industry and with a focus on modern trade.
- Strong knowledge of the modern trade landscape in Pakistan, with specific experience in Karachi.
- Skills:
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills to analyze data and market trends.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills to effectively manage relationships and close deals with customers.
- Proven ability to think strategically and develop comprehensive strategies to achieve business goals.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
