The department is conducting an observational study in Gadap Town, Karachi to assess if environmental surveillance for enteric pathogens will complement clinical surveillance and will help inform targeted immunization and other control activities for the control of diarrheal and other diseases.Responsibilities:
You will be responsible to:
carry out community mobilization activities
provision of support, counselling and information to community members
make visits to field sites and manage field work to ensure effective use of time
they will also provide a link between community, LHVs and Facility
development of linkage and referral pathway for the complicated cases from the community to health facility
help male community mobilizers in formulation of Health Committees for generation of emergency funds to facilitate community women for seeking emergency care in the community.Requirements:
You should have:
a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Social Sciences or equivalent
prefereably one year of relevant experience
basic research skills and good interpersonal skills, particularly communication skills
good command over the use of computer applications, particularly MS Office
resilience and ability to cope-up with work pressure and meet stringent timelines.
This is a close-ended position to be based in Karachi.
